Our mission

 

The International LDS Business & Civic Association serves as a vital bridge between international government leaders with San Francisco Bay Area business and government leaders who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). The Church is a global faith with more than 16 million members speaking 177 languages and a track record of humanitarian aid in 179 countries. The Association convenes leaders and hosts events to foster understanding and collaboration.

 
 

Since 2014 the International LDS Business & Civic Association has been hosting an annual event for Consuls to be briefed by executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and thought leaders from Silicon Valley. The event grows in size and prestige each year. The 2018 event featured talks on autonomous vehicles, machine learning, bio tech, and the future of media.

Building bridges in entertainment

In October we will be hosting a symposium for the diplomatic community designed to give consuls general and diplomats face-to-face interaction with entertainment industry leaders and influencers from all areas of motion pictures, television, and social media. The purpose of the event is to find ways that your countrymen can connect and collaborate on opportunities in the entertainment world, both domestically and internationally.

Since 1985, LDS Charities has provided assistance to millions of people in 189 countries, regardless of culture or religious beliefs. LDS Charities provides emergency assistance and long-term aid through clean water projects, wheelchair provision, maternal care, vision care, immunization campaigns, food production training, as well as a variety of local community projects.
